Serving Windsor and Essex County

We clean and declutter so you don’t have to!

Open House S.O.S. was founded on the following 3 principles:

  1. Today’s buyers expect to see picture-perfect homes when they walk through the front door.
  2. 98% of sellers do not live in picture-perfect homes.
  3. 99% of all people hate cleaning and decluttering, which is how picture-perfect homes get their start.

In order to give buyers the dream house they are looking for, the seller must somehow turn a real-life home into a “show” home for days, weeks or, depending on the market, even months of Open Houses and private viewings.

For most homeowners, getting the house in camera-ready shape requires a time-consuming all-hands-on-deck effort.

Nice furniture won’t sell a home.
Buyers expect it to be sparkling clean and clutter-free.
“Placing a For Sale sign on your lawn is stressful enough — the last thing you need is to worry about where you’re going to find time to fit a car into the garage that’s filled to the brim with junk, or clean the grease off the backsplash in the kitchen,” says Linda Mondoux, who founded Open House S.O.S. and counts herself among the 1% of the population born with the “cleaning and decluttering gene.”

We do the work. You earn the rewards!

Statistics show that when a house is clean, decluttered and well-presented, potential buyers tend to overlook other things, such as the fact the roof will soon need replacing or the furnace is 12 years old. “Cleaning and decluttering is an instant — and proven — way of adding value to your home,” says Linda, who has a passion for all things real estate.

The former journalist, who also owns a writing and editing business specializing in marketing, says she decided to use her cleaning and decluttering skills to help others because she believes that homeowners shouldn’t have to see their real estate investment depreciate just because they don’t have the time, or the inclination, to take on major housecleaning.

“I’m proud to offer a professional service that will help homeowners get the most out of their hard-earned equity,” says Linda.  “At the same time, I’m doing something that makes me feel good ... It’s extremely rewarding to see a homeowner benefit from my services. When that Sold sign goes up, I know I’ve done my job.”
